    Okowa Urges Nigerians To Render Selfless Service


    ... As Remains Of Egbuwoku Is Interred

    THE remains of renowned politician and former Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, High Chief Tom Egbuwoku was interred today (29/10/16) with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa calling on Nigerians to render selfless service to the glory of God.

    Notable politicians including Senator James Manager, Hon. Leo Ogor of House of Representatives, Major-General Paul Omu (rtd), Senator Stella Omu, Senator Emmanuel Aguariawado, Gen. Alex Ogomudia (rtd), Prof. Abednego Ekoko, Comrade Ovuozorie Macaulay, among others, attended the funeral service of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and former Chairman, Commonwealth Parliamentary Association cum Africa's representative at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Emede, Isoko, South local government area of Delta State.

    Governor Okowa who paid glowing tribute to the deceased, stated that it was important Nigerians are selfless in rendering services reiterating, "in all that we do, we must be careful in life, we should re-examine our lives and believe that whatever we ask of God, He will grant it."

    The governor said the mammoth crowd that turned up for the funeral service is only befitting of a man who served his people and the nation meritoriously asserting, "he lived a good life, he impacted positively on the lives of people who knew him."

    Both Senator Manager and Hon. Ogor described him as "a great son of Delta State and Nigeria." Bishop of Oleh Diocese of the Anglican Church, Rt. Rev. J. U. Aruakpor in a sermon urged Christians to always have faith in God stating, "your faith should manifest in your moral living.'
    "Man can fail you but Jesus Christ will not dissappoint you if you place your trust in him," the Bishop said, adding, "please God with your actions by having faith in the word of God; if you believe in God, you must learn to forgive those who offends you."
