    Delta Forestry Trust Fund Bill Passes 1st Reading



    The Delta State House of Assembly today at the plenary moved to enact a law for the Establishment of a Forestry Trust Fund as the member the member representing Ethiope East, Hon. Evance Ivwurie moved a motion for a Bill for a Law to Provide for Private Participation in Forestry Development and the Establishment of a Forestry Trust Fund in Delta State for other matters connected therewith and the motion was seconded by the member representing Ughelli South Constituency, Comrade Izeze R.Y. Reuben. The motion for the Bill was adopted by the House and passed first reading.

    The sitting also witnessed approvals of votes and proceedings of Wednesday 2nd November, 2016.

    The next in the order paper was the report by the joint committee of water resources and legal on a request for ratification of Warri/Effurun water scheme concessions agreement.

    However, the report was deferred to 17th November, 2016 due its volume which contains about ten volumes.

    The House was adjourned to Tuesday 8th November, 2016 at 10.00 am following a motion moved by Majority Leader and seconded by Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
