JUST IN: Outrage as Saraki bows to pressure from Buhari, set to approve $2.9 billion loan request

PARIS, NOVEMBER 6, 2016: (DGW) PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari  have prevailed on the Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki to approve the controversial $29.9 billion loan which the Executive says would be for financing key infrastructural projects, DailyGlobeWatch has reliably gathered.

Outrage had before now greeted the loan request by the executive arm of the Federal Government when it was first presented.

Buhari not done with the outright refusal moved further by a series of meeting with the Senate President about three times into talking him to approve the request that had earlier been kicked against.

Following this pressure on Saraki, information made exclusively available to DailyGlobeWatch says the loan request may be represented to the Senate within the week for approval.

Be that as it may, our source further revealed that Bukola Saraki is left with no option but to refer the loan request to  its Committee on Local and Foreign Debts which is headed by Mallam Shehu Sani.

Defending its earlier action , the Senate , our source , revealed blamed the rejection of the loan on inadequate information tendered by the Presidency.
A top source privy to the meeting between Buhari and Saraki revealed to our source that the Senate President told Buhari that the earlier rejection should not be misinterpreted to sabotaging the Buhari-led Federal Government.

Said our source, ”Following consultations, the President and the Senate President have agreed that the request for the $29.9billion loan be presented again to the Senate. All things being equal, the fresh request might be forwarded to the Senate with all the details as demanded by the Senate.

“But the Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Debts, which is headed by Sen. Sani will still go through the request and vet the desirability or otherwise of the loan.
“The recommendations of the committee will determine the final decision of the Senate on the loan.
