    NUJ To Honour Oba Ewuare, Obaseki, Omu Dunkwu December 10


    The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Edo State Council has slated December 10th to honour three distinguished Nigerians among their numerous awardees in this year's edition of their Press Week.

    HRM Oba Ewuare 11, the Oba of Benin Kingdom will be honoured as the Edo Council of NUJ's Grand Patron to replace his father, Oba Erediauwa who last occupied the exalted position.

    The Edo State Governor, HE Godwin Obaseki will as a mark honour be given a well deserved reception and honour during the event.

    While HRM Obi Martha Dunkwu, the Omu Anioma who is a multi award winner, will also be given an award by the Council in recognition of her meritorious services to the growth of the media in Nigeria and the world at large.

    It could be recalled that Omu Dunkwu was the Royal Image Maker to Oba Erediauwa for over 15 years until the Oba's transition. During this period, the Union enjoyed enormous patronage from the Oba who instituted a yearly media parley with journalists and extended lots of Goodwill to them.
