DELTA State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has admonished married couples to always put God first in whatever they do for their marriage to succeed.
The governor gave the advise yesterday (28/12/16) at the traditional marriage ceremony between Miss Promise Ewere Mekwunye and Mr Akinola Oluwasanmi Shadiya at Dr Charles Mekwunye's compound, Ute-Okpu, Ika North-East Local Government Area of Delta State.
"For a successful marriage, look up to God, trust in God," he said, adding that wives should always "make themselves to be cherished, love their husbands and be humble."
He also, urged married men to love their wives, stating, "once a woman is loved, she will be a wonderful wife."
The governor congratulated Mr and Mrs Shadiya for their successful marriage ceremony and wished them a successful married life, reiterating, "marriage is for a life time."
