    Traditional Ruler of Umuachi-Ogo in Delta Commits Suicide


    Aboh: The Traditional Ruler of Umuachi-Ogo community in Ndokwa East LGA, Delta has been reported dead through suicide.

    According to report from the community, the traditional ruler, with the titled of Onotu-Uku, (Name Withheld) was found dead around 8am yesterday, 21 December, 2016 in his home.

    The report said that from examination it was discovered that he died after drinking chemical suspected to be herbicide.

    Our source reported that the late village head was the father of one time councilor of ward 4 in the LGA.

    While the cause of his decision to take his live is not yet established, the report have it that he may had decided to commit the abominable act because of some assumed false accusations from his children.

    Thee late traditional ruler had since been buried in his compound.

    It was gathered that the police was informed of the incident, but an attempt to confirm the incident from the police at the time of this report could not be established as the police Divisional officer in Ashaka and the State PPRO could not be reached.
