DESOPADEC MANAGING DIRECTOR/CEO OLOROGUN WILLIAMS MAKINDE MEET WITH THE GOVERNING BOARD OF FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF PETROLEUM RESOURCES ,EFFURUN (FUPRE) DELTA STATE.

Today, The managing Director/CEO of Delta State Oil producing areas development commission (DESOPADEC) Olorogun Williams Makinde FCA,PhD receive the Governing Board of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun,Delta State.The managing director in Company of the Executive director of Social Services Development,DESOPADEC on behalf of the Commission Receive the delegation of the Governing Board led by the Vice -Chancellor the person of Prof.Akii Ibhadode FAS.In his opening Remark and the purpose of their visit ,the Vice -Chancellor said we came to Facilitate with the Director in the New year and to tell him we equally exist as a University that was established by President Olusegun Obasanjo  in 2007 and since then it has not been easy but as a university we have continued to overcome Surmounting Pressures, the University has Suffered so much in terms of Financial Issues,Despite the poor funding we have been able to produce Students with outstanding results with international reputation in Competitions.The VC said in delight of all these we have come to seek support from the managing director/CEO  of DESOPADEC and informed him that we can equally render  training to the  youths of the oil producing areas of the state in Marine Services,Oil and Gas Explorations.

The Managing Director/CEO  of Delta State oil producing areas development commission (DESOPADEC) Olorogun Williams Makinde informed the Governing Board of the University that the drop in price of oil and constant bombings of oil facilities in the state has affected the agency seriously but how ever the commission will partner the institution so as to get some the youths of the core mandate areas of the commission out of the street in line with the Smart agenda of the state Governor Senator Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa.The Delegation of the Governing Board of the University is made up of the Vice Chancellor the person of Prof.Akii Ibhadode FAS(VC).,Prof.J.B Arubayi Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC).,prof.Mrs Tawari-Fufeyin Director Linkages,Hon James Idoho,Rev Father Abaka PhD,and Engr.Gideon Osemweyre .
