The state Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has been commended for the inclusion of the Ezhionum/Abbi road linking the Ukwuani and Ndokwa West local Government Areas of Delta state, in the 2017 developmental plan.
Making the commendation, the Leader and Patron of the Reality Group, Hon Ochor Chris Ochor, speaking through the Director Media/Publicity, Mr. Solomon Ebinum said the construction of the long damaged road will alleviate the sufferings of the people that make use of the road.
According to him, the road when completed will not only eliminate the long sufferings of the people, who for years had plied the road with pains, but will also see the increase of economic activities between the two local governments.
“The construction will not only eliminate the pains the people had long suffered, but will also increase the economic activities of the communities around that axis of the state.” He said.
Also speaking on the SMART Agenda of the government, he said the Reality Group will continue to project the activities of the government so that the “Prosperity for All Deltans” will be achieved, which will have more positive impact if Okowa runs for a second term as the governor of the state.
He said that the government under Okowa has achieved much in terms of programs and leadership, despite the challenging economic conditions presently facing the state, and when supported, more will be achieved in line with the zeal and determination of the governor.
“No governor in the history of Delta state came to office facing the economic challenges that is facing Dr. Okowa and inspite of that, a significant number of development projects has been executed in the state based on social and economic policies to improve the welfare of the people”. He said.
He noted that owing to the achievements and leadership of the government under Okowa, despite the hard economic challenges, there is no gainsaying that he deserves a second term and reiterated their solidarity and supports for him in order to complete the good works he has started.
According to him, though, Dr. Okowa has not made public declaration on his reelection, he said the group is projecting the cause of his second term in Ukwuani Local Government, and will very soon reach out to politicians, traditional rulers, religious leaders, youth leaders, and other groups to ensure that all hands are on deck to achieve his reelection as governor in 2019, so that the economic and social policies will be fully implemented.
“He deserves a second term and our solidarity support for him to complete the good works he has started.”
Hon Ochor said that the group will continue to remain resolute in their unflinching support for the governor, because he is acting through projects aimed at changing the living standards of the people regardless of the their political affiliations.
“Let us continue to support Governor Okowa's government, it is the only administration that supports us, let us vote massively for him in 2019, and we will continue to reap from it.” He concluded.
