Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has congratulated the Minority Leader, of the House of Representatives, Hon. Leo Ogor on the occasion of his 58th birthday anniversary on Friday January 6, 2017.
In a goodwill message by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Charles Aniagwu, Governor Okowa said; Ogor had every cause to celebrate and thank God Almighty for His benevolence on the joyful occasion of his 58th birthday anniversary.
While congratulating the leader of the PDP Caucus in the House of Representatives on the occasion of his birthday anniversary, the Governor maintained that the sterling contributions of Hon Leo Ogor to the development of Nigeria and the legislature is legendary and commendable.
Aniagwu quoted the Governor as saying: “It is with profound joy that I write on behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta State, to express very warm felicitations to you on the occasion of your 58th glorious birthday anniversary.
"As the leader of our great party in the House of Representatives, you have proved beyond reasonable doubt that you are not just called the "General" in vain.
“You have combined the ingenuity of a legislator per excellence with humility and genuine feelings and thoughts for the less privileged. Those of us who know you will always attest to your sincerity of purpose.
“I am reminded of your glittering 14 years political career in the House of Representatives, where against all odds; you were elected Deputy Majority Leader in the 7th Assembly and now as Minority Leader in the 8th Assembly. I can testify to your devotion to excellence, commitment, simplicity and integrity. These qualities will continue to be a source of inspiration to all those whose lives you have touched in various important ways.
“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta State, i join your family, friends, well-wishers, Deltans and the entire people of Isoko Federal Constituency in celebrating a life that vividly epitomizes generosity, care and affection while also symbolizing the assured reward for single-minded commitment to the ideals of diligence, humility, perseverance, focus, dedicated service, forthrightness and outstanding patriotism with which God has blessed you in the past 58 years.”
