The Ofuobi Anioma, a socio-political pressure group founded for the political well-being of the Anioma people, held a caucus meeting on
Saturday, February 25, 2017.
The group led by Hon. Louis Ndukwe, met to amongst other things reappraise its successes as an association and reposition itself ahead of 2019 General elections.
At the end, the meeting resolved as follows:
1. That Senator Barr. Peter Nwaoboshi, the incumbent Senator representing Delta North in the Red Chambers has done extremely well and therefore, should be boldly supported for second term. This serves as a vote of confidence and unwavering support for our hard-working senator.
2. That our amiable and indefatigable Governor Senator (Dr) Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa's second tenure is not negotiatible, done and dusted. The meeting observed that the governor having also done marvelously well needed the support of all Anioma sons and daughters to actualise this mission. The meeting implored all to take this integral part of its message to the masses within and outside the shores of Anioma Nation.
3. That a general meeting of all old and new co-ordinators be convened at a shortest possible time to enable all local governments and cell structures resume work in earnest.
The team later made a courtesy call on the Igwete of Amai Kingdom, HRM Eze Paul Solomon Ifeneziuche, who on his own, pledged his unflinching support for the Government of Senator Okowa and Senatorial Representation of Barr Nwaoboshi.
The group also visited the just concluded Isumpe Road in Kwale, Ndokwa West LGA, Delta State which was attracted by the Most Distinguished Senator Barr. Peter Nwaoboshi.
