Death of PDP is end of Democracy in Nigeria, says Wada

If anything happens to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), that is the end of democracy in Nigeria, former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Idris Wada, has said.

Speaking at a stakeholders meeting in Lokoja, yesterday, the immediate past governor said the leaders would not allow issues at the national level to consume the party, as he assured that they would be resolved in a matter of weeks.

He said for virile and effective opposition, every member should work for the amicable resolution of the crises.

“In life, people fall, but it is the ability to get up again that makes the man,” he said.
He also admonished party members at the meeting to take the message of peace back home to the grassroots to avoid rumour.

Wada challenged members to look inward and start making contributions to the party for its survival.

On his part, former Governor Ibrahim Idris believed that the PDP could make it to theGovernment house in the next election, provided members learn from their mistakes.
