DELTA 2019: AMORI SEAL URHOBOS FATE, SAYS NO URHOBO WILL CONTEST AGAINST OKOWA

Says “Ibori is next to God politically”

Basking in the euphoria of the released of his political benefactor from incarceration, Senator Ighoyota Amori has described Chief James Ibori, former governor of Delta State, as a man next to God politically, saying that his generosity brought him closer to the people.

Amori who spoke to journalists at his resident in Asaba on Wednesday, on the significance of Ibori’s return said; “I have a friend,  an Ibo man, he said after God is money. It almost a general believe for the Ibos. Politically after God James Ibori is next. You don’t need to be told.

Here is a man who ruled this state for eight years and, since he left office, he has been incarcerated. He been in Kaduna and Dubai prisons and in United Kingdom and now he is released. His good deeds have overwhelmed his mistakes”.

According to Amori; “I worked with Ibori closely, so l knew him. He was born in Mosoga, where his mother hailed from. He is somebody i respect very well. His generosity alone is amazing. You will love to work with him. The generosity that the people have lost is what they want to regain by welcoming him with ovations”. He added.

Going memory lane, Chief Amori recalled with nostalgia, the mysterious circumstances surrounding the appeal court tribunal judgment that notified his election to the Senate, saying he cannot be stupid again.

Hear him; “I won the election clean and clear.

The APC and LP candidates took me to the tribunal, canvassing the same case, the tribunal and the same time with the same Judges. After delivering the case of APC, the Judges were changed.

They delivered the judgment on LP and PDP at night in less than one minute, that was the last date for the tribunal, that tells you something went wrong. They waited till night and the judgment is just one line. Being the last appeal, we have committed everything to God”.

He vowed that no Urhobo man in PDP that will context the governorship election with Senator Okowa in 2019, saying that; “We know and accepted that as long as PDP is concerned, Okowa will complete eight years in office”.

Speaking on the protracted crisis that is nearly tearing the PDP apart, Amori described the feud as a necessary agreement within a family which will be solved in through dialogue after the war situation.

“Senator Markafi and Sheriff are never contenders of the coveted seat of Chairmanship of PDP. They were entrusted the position to.

Party is a life time project, and we should be happy it is happening now. People are crisscrossing to other party pretending that there is a crisis but where they are moving to is worst. Itvis said generally that if you want peace declares war. For now we are in war in PDP. Every wars end in a table. PDP will assert itself”.
