The Delta State House of Assembly at today's sitting received letters from the Executive Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, seeking the approval of Joseph Duke as DG Public Procurement Commission and the approval of the Asaba Integrated Power Plant Project.
The Power Plant Project request was committed to the House Committee on Power and Energy and to report to the House tomorrow 29th March 2017.
The Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya, read out the the letters during the House’s sitting in Asaba.
The speaker directed the nominees to submit 35 duplicate copies of his credentials to the office of the Clerk of the State House of Assembly on or before Thursday 30th, 2017 and to appear before the State House of Assembly on Thursday 30th, 2017 for screening.
The House adopted the votes and procedure 16th and 23th, March 2017 following a motion my the Majority Leader, Hon Tim Owhefere and was seconded by Hon. Samuel Mariere.
The House also witness the confirmation of Barr. Uto Aghoghophia as the Deputy Clerk of the Delta State House of Assembly.
The House was adjourned to Wednesday, 29th March, 2017 at 10.00 am following a motion moved by Majority Leader, Hon. Tim Owhefere and seconded by Hon. Pat Ajudua.
