Angry youths of Orurarivie Abraka Kingdom have invaded the palace of the traditional ruler, destroying properties worth millions of naira and also attacking the Hausa communities around the area.

According to eyewitness account, the angry mob led the corpse of a young man who was allegedly beheaded by Fulani herdsmen and stormed the palace of the King and Hausa communities, destroying properties and leaving some wounded.

Meanwhile the leaders of the kingdom, in Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State, while condemning the action of the angry cried out concerning the forceful takeover of their land by herdsmen which they have described as a ticking bomb which will soon explode if nothing is done urgently.

To the community leaders, the killings, raping and destruction of crops and farmland by the invading Hausa/Fulani herdsmen have been dutifully reported to the office of the Executive Governor, Delta State, the Inspector General of Police, as well as to the office of the Commissioner of Police.

However, after a pattern of killings allegedly perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen in Abraka community with the most recent one of the young man, identified as Solomon Ejoor allegedly beheaded by the herdsmen while on a mission to rescue his mother abducted by the same group of herdsmen, brings concern to the residents.

Meanwhile, the family of the deceased in Urhuoka Abraka have fled from the community for fear of the being reprimanded after allegedly mobilising community youths to invade the palace, leaving their home under lock.

Sighting the possibility of a land dispute problem between Edo and Delta states, the Delta state police command says it will not be quick to jump into conclusions until investigations to unravel the unfortunate incident is over. (Channels TV)
