    Team S.M.A.R.T for Okowa Free Extra Moral Lesson; A laudable Initiative of improving the Knowledge base of Students in Delta State… Says Ochonogor




    The Senior Political Adviser to the Delta State Governor, Chief Festus Ochonogor has described the Free Extra Moral lesson program of Team S.M.A.R.T for Okowa, for JSS3 and SS3 Students in Delta State as a laudable initiative of improving the Knowledge base of the Students.

    Chief Ochonogor spoke when he visited the Team S.M.A.R.T for Okowa Free Extra Moral Lesson Center at Osedenis Secondary School, Asaba recently in company of the Executive Chairman of Oshimili South local Government Area, Hon. Pastor Chuks Obusum for an on the spot assessment of the center.

    He expressed surprise that Team S.M.A.R.T for Okowa could come up with such an initiative geared towards improving the knowledge base of the Students with their own funding, adding that the initiative would go a long way in the history of the State and in the implementation of the prosperity Agenda of the Governor of the State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.

    “I sincerely thank them on behalf of the Executive Governor of the State, His Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, for providing this Service to our students. What they are doing is complimenting the efforts of Government for the fact that after the normal teaching classes, they have decided to do free Extra Moral Classes for our Students and is highly commendable,” he said.

    Chief Ochonogo also commended the tremendous increase in the students’ enrollment in the two centers in Asaba, even as he advised the Students to take the advantage of the program to improve on their studies and not to use it as an avenue to waste their time, while admonishing the teachers, as professionals that are being paid by Team S.M.A.R.T for Okowa, to take their job seriously by doing their best in contributing their quota towards  helping Team S.M.A.R.T for Okowa in achieving their target  of improving on the knowledge base of the Students.

    Speaking also with newsmen, the Director General Team S.M.A.R.T for Okowa, Hon. Sunny Orishedere commended well-meaning indigene of Oshimili South Local Government area of the State for their efforts and contributions towards the running of the program, while appreciating others in the various Local Government areas of the State for indicating interest in contributing towards the establishment of the program in their areas.

     The Director General further stated that arrangement has been made for the establishment of centers in four Local Government areas of the State in the next two weeks, while adding that the Free Extra Moral Lesson would soon be located in the various areas across the State.

    On his part, the Special Assistant to the Governor of the State on Community Development and Chairman Education Committee, Team S.M.A.R.T for Okowa, Hon. Sunny Obi, stated that due to increasing students enrollments, another center would be flagged off in a few days time at Asagba primary School, Asaba, to bring the number of the Center in the State capital to three even as he described the success recorded at the two centers in Asaba, as tremendous and overwhelming.

    Highpoint of the visit was the inspection of the various classes in session by the Senior Political Adviser, Chief Festus Ochonogor and the Chairman of Oshimili South Local Government, Hon. Pastor Chuks Obusum under the coordination of the Director General Team S.M.A.R.T for Okowa, Hon. Sunny Orishedere.

    Also at the on the spot assessment of the center included the State Group Press Secretary for Team S.M.A.R.T for Okowa, Dn. Chijioke Ugbolue and the Delta South Senatorial Coordinator of the Group, Hon. Daniel Aniratan.
