WITH #NOTTOOYOUNGTOLEAD, THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL-CP ZANNA

The Commissioner of Police, Delta state command, CP Zanna Ibrahim has stated that with the coming together of like minded youths to chart a course for the future of Nigerian youths, there is light at the end of the  tunnel. CP Zanna stated this when the Ambassadorial team of the #NotTooYoungToLead paid him a working visit at his office recently.

While commending the group for taking the bold step forward he further admonished young Deltans to venture into politics so as to pump in fresh ideas into the political system. "the prompt intervention of the #NotTooYoungToLead is very timely as youths are the leaders of tomorrow,comimg into change the status quo would encourage and motivate the young ones, it shows that truly there's light at the end of the tunnel. We had hitherto been hearing that youths are the leaders of tomorrow, but the youths were still bring neglected in decision making, with this, we are sure that the time for the youths is at hand."

Also calling on young graduates to steer away from crime and create jobs instead of waiting for non existent white collar jobs, he noted that youths should facilitate the positive transformation of the society through positive inventions and attitudinal change.

While charging the group to create more awareness on the need for youths to be creative, he sought for a working relationship with the Ambassadorial team. "If you go about creating awareness on the need to be self reliant, and on the need to be entrepreneurial, it would help in reducing the number of criminals we have on the streets because majority of those who perpetuate this crimes are youths. I want to call for a working relationship with this team so that together we can build a safer state and nation by extension, I would also love to feature in your awareness programs."

The leader of the team, Comr. Akpobi Obas Elvis, while appreciating the Commissioner for his receptiveness, requested that young officers who have potentials should be seen occupying strategic positions in the force. He further requested for proper mentoring amongst the ranks and file noting that since CP Zanna came to the state, the level of corruption amongst members of the Force and crime rate also had reduced drastically.
