According to the Governor, that the PDP is loved by Nigerians and having Delta State as its stronghold should be enough reason for members of the party to embrace members of other political parties who are ready to move to the PDP.
Specifically at Ughelli, Ughelli North local government area of the state, Governor Okowa who was enthused by the large turnout of members of the PDP, asserted, "from what we can see from the campaigns, there is no doubt that Delta State is home to the PDP, Nigerians love the PDP, we do not engage in rigging elections, so, we should not relax in our campaign for more persons to join our party."
"We should encourage more persons to come to the party with our activities, more youths should be encouraged to hold positions, after the elections, more youths and women should be given supervisory councillorship positions," the Governor said, observing that the PDP has delivered on its electoral promises to Deltans which should be a shining light for more Nigerians to embrace the party.
