The lawmaker representing Delta North Senatorial district and Senate committee chairman on Niger Delta affairs, Senator Barr. Peter Nwaoboshi has expressed satisfaction over the way the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) faithful, especially the electorates in Delta North, came out enmass to elect their candidates during the January 6th council polls.
Senator Nwaoboshi applauded the party supporters for the maturity and patriotism exhibited during the elections which led to the PDP recording a landslide victory as declared by DSIEC.
In a statement signed by his head of Media team/Senatorial office co-ordinator, Hon Andie Onyemeziem, Sen Nwaoboshi commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for providing a conducive atmosphere for the conduct of the elections.
He equally commended the State party Chairman, Barr. Kingsley Esiso and his Delta North counterpart, Hon. Moses Iduh for their unwavering commitment to the affairs of the party and her members, stressing that their level of preparedness during electioneering made the election a work over for the party as it seemed no other party was contending with the PDP.
The most distinguished senator praised the professionalism displayed by the security operatives as well as ensuring a peaceful, free and fair elections, without any kind of harassment across the district. He also commended the people of Delta north for coming out to peacefully exercise their franchise in favour of their preferred candidates, and urged them to extend and display these gestures in future elections.
Senator Nwaoboshi, remarked that the landslide victory recorded by the PDP at the polls was well deserved and a good omen for the state in line with the unwavering efforts of Gov. Okowa to entrench more dividends of democracy to the people of the state, especially at the grassroots.
He seized the opportunity to congratulate his political son, Hon. Louis O. Ndukwe, the re-elected chairman of Oshimili North LGA for emerging victorious. He urged him to endeavour to fulfill his campaign promises and work more towards the advancement of Oshimili north in all ramifications.
