This might be the best way the Super Eagles of Nigeria boost their team spirit before each of their matches.Almost everyone has a 'ritual' they perform before embarking on the most important days of their lives. While some spend the entire night before the day putting finishing touches, others prefer to rest and be mentally prepared for the event.
Ahead of the crucial match against the Chipolopolo of Zambia which would help decide if the Super Eagles of Nigeria would pick a coveted spot at the FIFA World Cup in 2018, the team decided to perform what they call their own 'ritual'.

On their way to the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Zambia on Sunday, October 9, where they eventually defeated their opponents for the first time in Nigeria vs Zambia football history, the team burst into a round of praise, where they must have been calling on God to ensure that their efforts didn't go to waste (thank God it didn't go to waste o!).
The players all participated in the praise session willingly, even the 'oyinbo' bred ones (goalkeeper Carl Ikeme, defender William Troost-Ekong, and striker Alex Iwobi) who clapped along even though they probably didn't know what the rest were singing.
