Reno Omokri, former special assistant to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on new media and a likely new visitor to the EFCC's cell has yet again called to question the anti-graft war of the current administration. Omokri presently lives in a glass house but he is persistently casting stone, hoping to use it to attract public sympathy to himself in the event that a stone is cast back at his glass house. Nigerians are no longer babies.
Reacting to the detention of Reuben Abati, Jonathan spokesman, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Omokri wondered why Amaechi was appointed a minister despite allegations leveled against him.
Omokri took to social media to express his displeasure.
“Reuben Abati allegedly got ₦50 million from Dasuki and goes to jail. Rotimi Amaechi admittedly spends $500k (₦235 million at today’s rate) on a one day dinner for Soyinka and becomes a minister! Welcome to the new Nigeria!” he wrote.
