Honourable Commissioner for Higher Education Delta State Engr Jude Sinebe made this clarification due to rumours making the rounds on social media that the school portal will be closed so as to make students pay additional fee for late registration. He made this clarification in order for students to discountenance the rumours. I spoke with the Vice Chancellor over this and he assured me that the portal remain open till end of December "we have not concluded admission process for this academic session and as such the school portal is still open till all the process is concluded" As Commissioner for Higher Education i will advice all students to ensure that they complete their registration early so as to make the process of administration easy for management.
The Commissioner used the opportunity to express the Governor’s commitment towards the education sector and his desire to improve the quality and standards of learning in higher institutions as well as infrastructural development in the state. You will recall that last week Governor Okowa presented the 2017 Budget proposal before the state assembly and the Education sector got a large chunk of the budget. This is in line with the SMART AGENDA of the Governor and his avowed commitment towards improving the quality of teaching and learning as well as improved educational facilities across board. I want to encourage Deltans to support the administration of Sen Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa as he is committed to transforming Delta State.
