PPK AVIATION BOARD COMMENDS FG MOVES TO FLOAT NATIONAL CARRIER

The Chairman of PPK Aviation International Limited, Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe has commended President Muhammadu Buhari and the Federal Government for taking proactive steps towards the establishment of a national carrier to fly the nation's logo across the globe.

The company in a statement released by its Corporate Affairs Manager, Mrs 'Folake Bamidele said a national career is one of the major pride of a nation because of the national colours its commercial airplanes showcases in other countries while operating  international flights.

He said the scrapping of the national carrrier during President Obasanjo's administration was the best decision at that time because of obvious reckless  mismanagement and unscrupulous financial deals which crumbled the airlines operation, adding that the present administration  has demonstrated reasonable political will power to curb corruption such that the proposed national carrier will survive and make profits if well managed by aviation technocrats.

PPK AVIATION  which commenced aviation flight training referral services in 1998 is a major player in pilot training and aeronautic engineering education and presently represents major aeronautic schools and vocational training centres in United States of America, Canada, South Africa and United Kingdom. The company will soon commence aircraft cleaning and in-flight catering services for both local and international airlines.

Oghenesivbe who recently resumed work at the headquarters of the company in Ikeja after some years of legal education study leave said President Buhari is doing all within available financial resources to revive the aviation sector as can be seen from the Private, Public partnership deals to ensure that the nation's national logo is airborne across major countries of the world.

He advised the federal government and the ministry of Aviation  to ensure that the project consultants for the formation of the national carrier do not compromise standards by insisting  that the Airplanes for its operations are either brand new or in top condition with relatively low flight hours to meet safety standards as well as economic considerations.
