    Put Your Expertise Into Good Use, Ukah Tells DBS Warri Workers ....Visits Crown, Kpoko FM

    The Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah,  has called on workers of Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS), Warri, to put their professional expertise in to good use to ensure that the radio and television stations are on air always.
    Mr. Ukah made the call on Wednesday when he visited the station to find out why the television arm is off air for some time now.

    The Information Commissioner, who was conducted round the equipments in the station by the General Manager, Mr. Tunde Omonode, and the station's Chief Technical Officer, Mr. Samuel Oboyo, directed that additional protective measures be put in place for the equipments.

    He was assured by the GM that the micro wave link which was damaged by thunder recently will be repaired so that the television arm of the station will come on air again soon.
    Also on the same day, the Commissioner for Information visited Crown 89.9 FM and Kpoko 100.5 FM, both in Warri, where he disclosed that his mission was to say thank you to the management and staff of the station for letting the people within its coverage area know about government activities.
    Mr. Ukah, who was taken on live interview programmes in both stations, assured Deltans that better days are ahead for them as the government of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is absolutely determined to bring prosperity to all Deltans.
    Earlier, the Managing Director  of Crown 89.9 FM and Kpoko100.5 FM, Warri, Mr. Benedict Okotie-Eboh, expressed surprise over the unscheduled visit and thanked the the commissioner for the initiative.
    Mr. Okotie-Eboh called for more collaboration between the two stations and the state government in bringing the activities of government to the people in the grassroot, just as he appealed for patronage by the state government.
