**Calls on Deltans to discountenance reports that the Association is illegal.
The Chairman of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria Delta state Chapter,RTEAN,Comr Elvis Kporoh has stated that the core mission and vision of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) at both the national level and state,is to help improve and ameliorate the sufferings of transport workers in the state.
Comr. Kporoh made this assertion while reacting to reports making the rounds,wherein the activities of RTEAN in the state was termed to be illegal and unacceptable in the state. He stated that RTEAN IS a registered quarry Association with the federal government and have operational branches in almost all the 36 States of the federal. He further avered that the Association since inception has been carrying out their operations across the federation in tandem with the constitutional provisions establishing it.He further called on those whose activities in the state is targeted at killing the image of the Association in Delta state to have a rethink,and always seek redress in the law court whenever they have anything against RTEAN.
Comr.Kporoh also hinted that the Association since the inception of its activities in Delta state, had offered more than 4000 jobs opportunities to Delta youths as a way of supporting Governor Okowa's prosperity drive,reiterating that more are on the way.He called for total support of the government into the affairs of the Union, stressing that RTEAN has come to stay for good in the state.
He appealed to rumour mongers whose bad intentions appears to negate the core objectives of RTEAN in Delta state, to stop all form of rumour mongery as RTEAN in Delta state will continue to Support Governor Okowa's led prosperity for all Deltans government, to enable it deliver quality services to Deltans.
Comr.Kporoh used the opportunity to solicit for support from Transport workers in the state,assuring them that the confidence they reposed on him will never be betrayed. He promised to work assiduously for the overall good of all the Association's members.
