    SHUN WAR/COMMUNAL CRISIS AND LIVE AS ONE - EZECHI

    On behalf of the Deputy Speaker, Delta State House Of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Osanebi Ossai Friday the Commissioner representing Ndokwa Nation on the board of DESOPADEC, Hon Nnamdi Ezechi has called on the two warring villages in Inyi Kingdom, Ndokwa East L. G. A to stop fighting and live as one like they have been living from old. Speaking in the peace meeting Comrd. Ezechi said :

    Am supposed to be with you in this meeting at the Deputy Speaker's office but due to his tight schedule,I was told to hold the meeting and with me are: CSP Evans Onomughokpo, Hon. Alex Aniche, S.S.A to Delta State Governor on project monitoring and Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Speaker of DTHA, Chief Oyibosochukwu Nwabueze.
    There is nothing so good like living in peace, you have all been one from the beginning and I see no reason why you want to fight now and kill one another. Maintain peace and follow the prosperity agenda of the Executive Governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and more great government developmentalprojects will come to Inyi.

    Chief Oyibosochukwu asked the representatives from Umuinyagbo and Obeche villages of Inyi respectively if they really want peace and they unanimously agreed that they need peace. Then they were given the conditions that will lead to peace by saying that;

    (1)All restriction placed on Obeche not to go to their farms.
    (2)All curses and swearing place by the both parties must be revoked in a week's time.
    (3)Other terms for the final resolution of the crisis and reconciliation will be unveiled by the next meeting.
    (4)Any person or party who goes contrary to the above terms will be treated as an enemy of progress and peace in Inyi and shall be treated according to law.
    (5)All youths in Inyi,particularly Umuinyagbo and Obeche should eschew violence and maintain peace and order in other to attract government attention and development in Inyi Community.

    Hon. Ezechi finally thanked them for agreeing to maintain peace and prayed that God should lead them back to their respective homes in peace.

    The people of Inyi thanked the Deputy Speaker, Delta State House Of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi for giving them the chance to change their minds and live in peace once again.
