Joint National Assembly Committee on Works led by Senator Kabiru Gaya are in Delta State for an oversight on the performance of the 2016 budget vis-a-vis the second Niger bridge which is being constructed under private public Partnership.
Senator Gaya who is also the Vice President Inter Parliarmentary Union (IPU) reiterated that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration’s is poised to giving quality service delivery to Nigerians and it’s residents.
This he stressed in Delta State, as Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa showered encomium on the Senate joint committee members on its visit and also advised they ensure that setting laws to prevent heavy duty from plying roads that are not designed for them.
The Governor also praised the Senate on the step taking on the bill for the Establishment of university before it which has just passed through second reading and most importantly the effect it has by reducing the hostility in the Niger Delta and of course the various discussions ongoing with Royal fathers.
