Ukah Urges Christians Not To Let Euphoria Of Season Becloud Essence Of Christmas

As Christians the world over celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, has urged them not to let the euphoria of the season becloud the essence of the celebration.

Mr. Ukah, in a goodwill message signed on his behalf by his Media Assistant, Mr. Sam Ijeh, in Asaba on Saturday reminded Christians that the season of the birth of Jesus Christ is to show love and tolerance among one another.

He called on religious leaders to continue to teach their subjects the importance of cultivating the spirit of peaceful coexistence irrespective of the circumstances.

The Commissioner for Information noted that at this time that the country is going through recession, serious prayers for divine guidance are needed for leaders at all levels.

He stressed that the prevailing economic realities facing the nation now will at last become a blessing in disguise as it has brought out the ingenuities in Nigerians in their bid to survive.

Mr. Ukah assured Deltans that the State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, will not renege on his campaign promises of prosperity for all as he determined to bring the dividends of democracy to the footsteps of the people.

He called on the people to be their brothers keepers and as much as possible avoid the pull-him-down syndrome, which he said is of no benefit to anybody.

The Commissioner for Information wished all Deltans a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year in advance.
