Delta State Youth, National Youth council of Nigeria
The National Youth council of Nigeria, Delta State Chapter Election has been declared inconclusive due to the level of violence which escalated at the venue of the election.
The Election which was supposed to herald the coming on board of the body’s new executive members was disrupted by some thugs employed to truncate the peaceful election of the new excos.
Speaking to Asaba Christian Onwugbolu , an eye witness who pleaded anonymity said, “trouble started when there was an allege move by some quarters to impose on the congress, a leadership which would favour a certain party. It was when the youths protested the move that hell was let loose in the indoor hell of Asaba Stadium.”
After some deadly display at the front of Asaba Township Stadium and along the ever Busy Nnebisi road, Asaba, the crisis moved to the Gate of the Government House Gate along Anwai Road
The pandemonium as captured by our reporter shows that a Bus belonging to NULGE Warri South Branch was damaged and several degrees of injuries afflicted on some youths who were taken unawares by the thugs.
