    College Of Education, Mosogar, 2016 Bill


    THE Delta State House of Assembly yesterday passed the Delta State College of Education, Mosogar Bill, 2016. This came shortly after screening and subsequent confirmation of Barr. Dennis Ejakpovwere Agbaga as member of the Delta State Judicial Service Commission.
    The bill when given assent by the governor would provide for the establishment of the Delta State College of Education, Mosogar which is coming on the heels of the recent repeal of the Delta State College of Physical and Health Education, Mosagar.

    The bill which was given unanimous assent scaled through third reading, passed after a committee of the Whole was instituted following a motion moved by the Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Preyor Oboro and seconded by Member representing Ughelli South, Hon. Rueben Izeze.

    According to the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya, who commended the members for a job well done, the bill was given a clause by clause consideration from Sections one (1) through 74.

    He said that the dynamics of law making makes it a learning process, adding that the speedy passage of the bill had shown a new mechanism of fast tracking bills.
    Earlier, sequel to a motion moved by the Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Preyor Oboro and seconded by the Member representing Ika North East, Hon. Emeka Elekeokwuri the nominee, Barr. Denis Ejakpovwere Agbaga was screened and confirmed by the house.
    Recall that the state Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa had last week, forwarded the name of Barr. Denis Ejakpovwere Agbaga to the State House of Assembly for screening into the Delta State Judicial Service Commission as a representative of the Nigeria Bar Association.
    He said the nominee was sent to take over from the former representative of the NBA, Chief P.O. Wonigho who died.BY
