    DELTA CENTRAL HOSTCOM PASS VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON DESOPADEC MANAGING DIRECTOR/CEO OLOROGUN WILLIAMS MAKINDE AND THE THREE (3) URHOBO COMMISSIONERS IN THE BOARD .



     Delta Central  HOSTCOM   has protested against the call by the impostors Oil and Gas Association  for the removal of the managing  Director of Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPAC) Olorogun Williams  Makinde and the three commissioners representing Urhobo Ethnic  nationalities.

    The body made their position known today when they embarked on a peaceful protest to press home their demands. The group who carried placards with the different inscriptions:”   Urhobo HOSTCOM says no to the sack of Olorogun  Williams Makinde”, the Delta   Central   Chairman says no to  the   sack  of  Olorogun  Williams Makinde”, Urhobo say no to Christmas rice, we need development “and  among others and   marched through  the busy Nigeria Ports Authority(NPA)  expressway down to  Edjeba Community and Government House annex Warri said they will not allow some unscrupulous elements to direct their affairs.

    Speaking to newsmen, the Chairman of HOSTCOM, Delta Central, Comrade Akponofuo  Pemu Festus said, the body will not allow some persons who   claim to be members of HOSTCOM to press for the sack of  Olorogun Williams  Makinde the managing director /CEO of DESOPADEC and the three commissioners  because of Christmas rice which was not given to them. He added that Urhobo needs development and not rice and therefore called on the state government   led by Senator (Dr)  Authur  Okowa to ignore their calls. He said:” we cannot   hold our   arms and allow some impostors to take our responsibilities. They   are   not members of HOSTCOM they can’t   dictate for  us”.

     Comrade Festus said those calling for the sack of the DESPADEC MD and the three commissioners did not mean  well  to the Urhobo nation and therefore warned  henceforth if they seen impersonating  the body, they will be dealt with. He said, “We don’t know these people claiming to be  HOSTCOM members, they are impostors”

    Speaking on behalf Chairmen of  HOSTCOM   Urhobo nation,  Comrade Samco Ese, said  they  will not accept the removal of  Olorogun Williams Makinde and three others because  members of Oil and Gas Association  don’t have the right  to call for their removal.

    He said  they  have been in court with the impostors adding documents attest to this fact. Adding that their action has led  Urhobo nation to be undeveloped and therefore called on the state government   to ignore their calls. Just as they warned the impostors   to stay clear from  the affairs of HOSTCOM He said:” we don’t know them they are the cause of Urhobo under growth and under development.  He said all properties which belongs to HOSTCOM be returned   immediately because they are the rightful owner. Other members of the group   who spoke include: Comrade Green Aziza, Mrs. Gladys Enawhore among others.

    Responding to the demand of the group, the Executive Director  to the Governor on DESOPADEC matters Chief Muobo Gbagi thanked the body for recognizing his office and the peaceful protest which the body has embarked upon. He said without being peaceful ,no  one   can  achieve what he wants adding that  governor is trying to help HOSTCOM  which they belong. He said the government has done and still  doing  a lot for Deltans  especially in the areas of roads saying  Governor be given kudos . He therefore charged the people to be patient with the government as  their  needs will be attended to. He said:” I appreciate peaceful disposition   and   assure  you that your needs will be attended to”.  He said, whatever the issues are , he  will take   the message to the Governor. He thanked them for supporting the government and  the  people for meaningful growth and development.

    Earlier, the Director Government House Annex, Warri, Mr Sunday Okujere   who received the protesters thanked them for their peaceful disposition.
