CorruptObiaruku: Luck had ran out on two motor cycle robbers who had been terrorising the Obiaruku community in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State and environ, as they tried to make away with a snatched shopping bag from an unsuspecting victim.
According to eye witnesses, the robbers who were riding on one motor bike targeted a victim who was coming out from the Eco bank in the town, with a black shopping bag, snatched the bag with the attempt to make way with its content.
However luck ran out on them when passers by chased and caught up with them, and were beaten up before they were rescued by the police who took them to the hospital for treatment because of the injuries sustained from the beaten.
Meanwhile, an unconfirmed report has it that one of the suspects later died in the hospital, after some hours.
Further investigation by our reporter revealed that the suspects who came from Ozoro, where the same people who attacked and snatched from an Old Man a bag containing unidentified amount of money the previous day, along the ever busy Amai road Obiaruku.
Attempts to confirm the story from both the Obiaruku DPO and the PPRO Asaba failed as their lines were not reachable.
