The people of Ebu Community in Oshimili North LGA of Delta state on Sunday, February 12, 2017, paid a thank you visit to senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi at his Ibusa residence.
The delegation led by chief Martins Okakwu, the SSA (political) to Delta state governor, remarked that they were there to thank the Senator for his prompt intervention, using his good office at the National Assembly as the Chairman, Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs to mobilizing the NDDC to reconstruct some parts of the dilapidated federal road which ran through their community.
They used the occasion to pledge their unalloyed and unflinching support for Senator Peter Nwaoboshi for excellent service delivery via effective legislation and infrastructural development to the Delta north senatorial district which centres on equitable distribution of dividends of democracy.
In his response, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi affirmedal commitment to using his office to attract more development to Delta north which would also compliment Gov. Okowa's SMART Agenda. He equally revealed that some NDDC projects attracted under him had been completed in some LGAs while others would soon be awarded under what he termed "Emergency Contracts", i.e execute and be paid immediately as the contract payments have already gotten approval.
It is important to mention that the failed parts of the Ebu axis of Abuja road was a total nightmare to the community and motorists who ply that route to Abuja and Edo state. The unbearable agony of commuters was so great that they abandoned the route for a shorter one, via Onicha Ugbo. The prompt intervention of Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, has brought some respite that the community and motorists could now smile as they ply the route pleasurably. The repair has also boosted more economic activities for the people of Ebu Community and her environs.
