    UKWUANI TRADITIONAL RULERS COUNCIL ENDORSES THE IGWETE OF AMAI KINGDOM

    In accordance with the norms of the Traditional Rulers Council, the good people of Amai Kingdom in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State officially presented their Monarch Hrm. Eze Paul Solomon Ifeneziuche (Igwete of Amai Kingdom) to Ukwuani Traditional Rulers Council under the chairmanship of Hrm Evang. Osanwata JP, the Ezhie of Ezhionum Kingdom, today.

    The Spokesperson of Amai Kingdom, High Chief B.A Alonu (Onu-Osa) led the delegation that saw the Onotu-Uku of Umuekum and Chiefs, Onotu-Uku of Umubu and chiefs, Onotu-Uku of Amai-Nge and chiefs, Onotu-Uku of Umuosele and chiefs, Onotu-Uku of Ishikaguma and chiefs, all High Chiefs of Amai Kingdom, the youth chairmen of all the quarters of Amai Kingdom, the youth chairman general, community leaders; likes of Sir Dr. Dele Omenogor (Odogwu Adi-Ebuo of Amai Kingdom), Hon. Anthony Eleh, Hon. Gilbert Ejede, Hon. Chukwutem Nwogor, the two serving councillors from Amai Kingdom; Hon. Chuks Eleh, Hon. Benjamin Onyekezine and some other distinguished personalities, to officially present the Igwete of Amai Kingdom Hrm. Eze Paul Solomon Ifeneziuche to Ukwuani traditional rulers council, based on the Council traditions.

    The event took place at the palace of the Council's chairman the Ezhie of Ezhionum, and in attendance was the Ebu of Umuebu Kingdom, Onochi-Eze of Umutu community, Eziokpor community, and all the communities in Ukwuani Land that makes up the council.

    The Chairman of the Council, Hrm Evang. Osanwata speaking in the event on behalf of the Council stated that the Council are glad that Amai Kingdom has finally presented their King to the Council after four years since he was crowned. "Is not that he has not been recognized by the council initially but you people decided to do it today officially, noboday can reject who God hasn't rejected. Today, you people have a man of peace as the Igwete of Amai Kingdom, and it has been my prayers that the Peace that your emerging Igwete of Amai Kingdom has brought to Ukwuani since about four years now, should be permanent. As long as I remain the King of Ezhionum Kingdom, I will continue to complement your efforts of ensuring a permanent peace in Ukwuani land, if that's the only thing I achieve as a Monarch. I also want to tell you your Majesty that God is on your side, it is the will of God for you to be the Igwete of Amai Kingdom", the chairman's council said.
    He further stated that " it will be a woo to us as brothers if we involve ourselfs in crisis again in the future, we are looking forward to the Presentation of your Staff of office by the state government to your Majesty, so together we shall make Merry".
    The Chairman continued by appealing to the Igwete of Amai Kingdom not to entertain any negative advise from his subject that may compromise the existing peace in Ukwuani land, saying "because of your peaceful nature, they might say to you that you are a weak King, don't listen to them, the Chairman said. As he also used the medium to thank the Odogwu Adi-Ebuo of Amai Kingdom, Sir Dr. Dele Omenogor for his contribution in Ndokwa nation especially the financial assistance he rendered to a Church in Ezhionum in a bid of ensuring that a befitting house of God stands in Ezhionum Kingdom. And concluded by appealing to the Onochi-Ezes from all the communities present to become peace ambassadors.

    The Igwete of Amai Kingdom during his speech after thanking the Council stated that Amai is for Peace, that their primary functions as Kings is the protections of life and properties and pledged to Amai Kingdom and Ukwuani people that he will never disappoint them. The Monarch also reacted to some remarks by the Onochi-Eze of Eziokpor, Umutu and Obiaruku people, calling him " Eze Udo" (King of Peace). "I told them, " Eze Udo" is in Ezhionum, the Ezhie of Ezhionum Kingdom", the Monarch jokingly said.


    The Ebu of Umuebu Kingdom also thanked the Igwete of Amai Kingdom, describing the Monarch as a peace ambassador. And also appealed for a more United Ukwuani people.

    Meanwhile, the Odogwu Adi-Ebuo of Amai Kingdom speaking at the event thank the Ukwuani traditional rulers council and everyone present and also reaffirmed his support for Ukwuani nation.
