The Commissioner, Ministry of Health Delta State, Dr. Nicholas Azinge received an award by the African Child Foundation, tagged, Role model Award Night, as the most responsive state commissioner of the year, 2017.
The event held at the Orchid hotels Asaba, Shortly before presenting the award, the organizer of the 2017 Role model Award, Comrade Onos Donald said "The Honourable Commissioner was chosen for this award as the result of his outstanding performance, and contributions to the growth of health sector in the state and service to humanity".
Responding, Dr. Nicholas Azinge show his appreciation and also ensure the organizers of the Ministry's more support in taking the state health sector to a greater heights.
"I am really very delighted and very honoured this evening for this event of honouring me with an award, I say thank you". Azinge said.
The Commissioner dedicated the award to God Almighty and His Excellency the Executive Governor of Delta state, Sen. Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa and the Delta state Government for giving him the opportunity to serve the state and bring out his potentials to foster the development of the state.
He was accompanied by his brother, Barr. Jerry Azinge and his mother, Dame Mercy Azinge.
