Youths in Delta State have been called upon to divert their energies into positive ventures rather than allow mischief makers use them to former trouble in the society.

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa made the call today 29/03/17 at he Public Lecture on the SMART Way forward for Nigeria Youth and the Unveilling/Sgning of the Book titled "Hunger Republic" written by Stanley Edokpolo.

The Governor represented by the Chief of staff, Government House Honorable Tam Brisible commended Mr. Stanley Edokpolo the author for using the book to X-ray the success story of the SMART agenda of the Okowa's administration.

The Governor pledged to ensure that the diversification of the State Economy and meaningful engagement of Youths remained a priority and solicited for the support of all in building a verb ant and new Delta.

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly Rt. Honorable Monday Igbuya challenged all to use the social media to promote peace and development stressing that using the platform to malign people and propagate falsehood was counter-productive.
The Speaker Lauded the author and called on other Youths to key into literary works as a veritable means to immortalize themselves as well as contribute meaningfully to the betterment of the society.

The commissioner for Commerce and Industry Barr. Mrs Mary Iyasere said the theme of the Public Lecture "The SMART WAY FORWARD FOR NIGERIA YOUTH" she urged Youths to think outside the box on the best way to overcome the economy recession bedeviling the country"
She affirmed that the developmental strides of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has impacted positively on the Youths, Women and other Deltans who were trapped by poverty and unemployment.

The father of the day Professor Sam Oyivbaire described the literary work as thorough and indept  in its analysis of the SMART agenda in the area of Wealth Creation and development.
The Chairman of the Occassion Dr.Henry Ofa said the book was able to beam light on the challenges of the economy and how the SMART agenda of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has been able to alleviate poverty and bring development closer to the people.
The author of the book Mr. Stanley Edokpolo said the work was a deliberate effort to cross examine the problems of the economic recession and how Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has been proactive in giving hope to Deltans in the face of daunting challenges.

The book reviewer Dr. Felix Nwokolo said the nineteen chaptered book has all causes, solutions and the way out of recession and the impact of the SMART agenda in the diversification of the economy of Delta State.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Youth Development Comrade Hope George in his welcome address advised Youths to uphold ideals that will portray them as future leaders and described the literary work of Mr. Stanley Edokpolo as a show piece.
He said the idea of the book is to encourage Youths to embrace a very wid range of entrepreneurial drive of Governor Okowa administration to make out living for themselves.
The SSA said the book also dwells on security challenges as its effects on development.
Hope George recommended he book for every home.
