The Igwete of Amai Kingdom, HRM Paul Solomon Ifeneziuche congratulates his loving, peaceful and hardworking people of Amai on the cross over to the month of May, 2017.
The King while thanking God on behalf of his People for his divine provisions and protections all through the month of April, equally prayed God to continue to bless, protect and guide the peace loving people of Amai and Ndokwa Nation at large. He prayed God to grant them exceptional good health in mind, body, soul and also to grant their individual heart desires.
While praying for his people, the Monarch reminded them of his total commitment and desire towards ensuring the permanent reign of peace in Ndokwa Nation and the rapid development of the entire Kingdom.
The Monarch also appealed to the Good People of Amai, the Christian Association of Amai and the Ndokwa Christian Association to keep praying for him as their prayers have proven to be potent towards effectively discharging his functions/Duties.
The Monarch further appealed to the people of Amai Kingdom and Eziokpor community not to frustrate the peace efforts that has been initiated by corporate and private individuals at ensuring that peace is restored in Ukwuani. He also called on the people perceived to be laying siege along the Obiaruku-Amai road, to please desist from such act and embrace peace.
"Please note that a renewed hostility will do us no good, we are grateful that normalcy has returned to the area and we implore all parties to sustain the efforts on ground". Because "Saying we want peace is not enough, having peace talks every now and then is not all that matters, but implementing peace plans and living in peace by practising the peace that we preach is all that matters, and my priority is to make sure that not only my territory is protected, but that Ukwuani at large continue to enjoy lasting peace". So It is therefore very important for the efforts of all stakeholders involved, to be fully complemented, the Monarch stated.
As he commended the Amai Youths, the Igwete In-Council, Amai Development Union, the Ebu of Umuebu Kingdom, the Ezhie of Ezhionum Kingdom, the Onochi-Eze of Eziokpor community, the Nigeria Police Obiaruku division and the Delta State Government for their cooperation so far. he stressed that with the joint efforts of these well intended personels putting heads together, he is hopeful that the tension will completely die down to enable the people return back their various meaningful activities to enhance economic boost.
He also pleads with the various stakeholders that have intervened in their various capacity not to relent at the point, but do everything possible to make sure that the people continue to live together happily now and ever after.
