ANIOMA YOUTH COUNCIL PRESIDENT CONDEMNS QUIT THREAT ON NDIGBO PEOPLE BY THE AREWA YOUTH

Piqued by the inciting statement credited to the Arewa youths,the President of the Anioma youth council (AYC),Comr.Enudi Marcus has condemned in its entirety the 3 months eviction quit notice issued to the south east people resident in the North by the Arewa youths, describing the move as not only a huge threat and aberration to the unity and togetherness of the entity called Nigerian but a grave threat to national security and peaceful coexistence.

Reacting to the statement,Comr.Enudi noted that the statement and its ingredients is  capable of destabilizing the unity and peaceful coexistence between the Ndigbo and the Arewa people,stressing that every citizen of Nigeria irrespective of tribe,Political or religious inclination reserves the constitutional right to reside and own property in any part of the Country without fear of Molestations or assault of any kind. He likened the inciting statement of the Northern youths as the worst of its kind since the end of the civil war,describing it as one capable of sparkling off unimaginable crisis in the Nation.

The youth leader while calling  on security operatives in the country to beam their lenses and searchlight on these faceless groups and unearth the faces and motives  behind the mask, advised the northern youths to shun hate statement and promote ideas capable of holding the Nation as one indivisible entity.

He called on the federal government to take a painstaking effort to  reassure the ibos in the North of their safety by living up to their expectations of protecting their lives and property, as failure to do so may cause the IBO people to self defense which could be disastrous and  inimical to the Peace currently been enjoyed in the Nation.
