In comemoration of his 58th birthday celebration, Chief. Festus Ochonogor, Senior Political Adviser to the Executive Governor of Delta state on Friday cleared the medical bills of Four Nursing Mothers who delivered babies at the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba, Delta state.
Ochonogor, speaking to news men shortly after he paid the sum of N360,600 to the Hospital, clearing the bills of the Nursing Mothers noted that, "I have come here today to celebrate my birthday in a special way. I believe celebrating with those who need assistance is the best way to celebrate.
"I use this opportunity to call on Deltans to always remember their needy neighbors when they celebrate. This is another way of taking prosperity to the people in line with the SMART Agenda of the Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Okowa led administration.
Blessing Okagwu, on behalf of the beneficiaries, thanked Chief Ochonogor for remembering them on his birthday celebration noting that, "We have spent months in this hospital, our family members, friends and loved ones abandoned us but God has used you to put smiles on our faces today and we must say we are grateful sir"
Dr. Otevie Christopher, one of the Doctors working with the FMC, Asaba expressed his heart-felt gratitude to God for using the Senior Political Adviser to put smiles on the faces of the nursing mothers while urging Nigerians to emulate the kind gesture done by Cheif. Ochonogor and always give support to the needy in the society.
