The commissioner for lands and surveys Hon. Ossai Peter Chika said there be no going back on the demolition of buildings on natural waterways.
The Commissioner stated this while speaking to newsmen on the commitment of the ministry towards retaining the original master plan of the Capital Territory. Ossai said those who built on natural waterways built without approved building plans and are building against the master plan of Asaba Capital Territory.
He added that the ministry of lands ,surveys and urban Development will continue to ensure that developers did not go contrary to the Asaba master plan.
Hon chika Ossai who charged developers to desist from building on waterways, said the State government will not hesitate to demolish such structures.
The commissioner urged residents of Asaba capital Territory and other major towns and cities across the State to report any structures blocking water channels and obstructions on the road.
