The Senator representing Delta north senatorial district in the National Assembly and Chairman Senate committee on Niger Delta affairs, Sen(Barr) Peter Nwaoboshi joins other Deltans in eulogising one of the nation's foremost political leaders, Chief James Onanefe Ibori on the auspicious occasion of the marking of his 59th birthday anniversary.
In his congratulatory message, Senator Nwaoboshi described the former Governor as a leader of impeccable disposition, whose enormous and sterling contributions to the growth and advancement of democracy in Delta state would remain indelible and startling in the minds of all Deltans. He particular lauded the former Governor's developmental strides and templates in the state on which successive governments now stand on to further improve on.
While applauding the former Governor's sterling leadership qualities, courage and forthrightness as mostly exemplified in his relentless fight for resource control and fiscal federalism in Nigeria, further described chief James Ibori as a fearless Leader and an articulate goal getter who has continually towed the path of truth not minding whose ox is gored.
Sen.Nwaoboshi said of his boss "your Uncommon leadership qualities, courage, forthrightness and evident faith in the peace, unity, progress and prosperity of our dear state have seen you remain one of the most respected Political icons in the state and the nation at large.
"As you celebrate this remarkable day of your birthday anniversary, it is my prayer and that of the Anioma people that the Almighty God would continue to keep you in good and robust health, even as you continue to give your self in the services of our dear state and nation at large."
