True to his campaign promises, Hon. Pst. (Barr) John Chux Obusom (Chairman, Oshimili South Local Government Area) has proven beyond reasonable doubt that his coming to the council was not for personal aggrandisement but for growth and development.
His countless empowerment schemes have touched lives. And the electorates from his Local Government Area are beckoning on his return for another tenure given that even in the face of Recession, The office of the Chairman has recorded an avalanche of Projects too numerous to mention but I have to mention a few :
1) Facilitation and Construction of 210 locked up stalls and 78 open stall within the Ogbeogonogo main market.
2) Establishment of a Central Motor Park in Asaba to curb traffic around the Ogbeogonogo Market axis.
3) Installation of 300kva/33kv Siemens transformer.
4) Construction of Oshimili South Agricultural farm Project (Poultry).
5) Building and furnishing of Oshimili South Revenue Court.
6) Renovation of perimeter fence of the Council.
7) Installation of borehole/stanchion within the Council.
8) Repairs of the Council's Earth moving Machines.
Demolition of criminal den and brothels at Ibusa Express way, Hausa Market and Abraka Market.
9) Maintenance and grading of Oko road ( from Oko junction along head bridge down to Oko Ogbele)
10) Relocation of the Oshimili South Nursery and Primary School from the noisy market environment to a more Serene and conducive environment for learning.
11) Support to the Nigerian Police Force in area of Peace and Security Matters.
12) Numerous Welfare, Community and Women Development Packages
13) Donation to Internally Displaced Persons ( 2015 Flood).
14) Health : Polio Eradication Campaign and Say No To Smoking Campaign, 2015.
15)Grading and Sand Filling of Adiabua Street, Nnikwu-Ogbeke link Road, Amb. Leo Okogwu Street, Cleaning up the Mechanic Village, Bonsaac Grading.
16) AGRICULTURE : Donation of yams and Okro seedlings to farmers.
17) Observing Monthly Environmental Sanitation regularly : Refuse Evacuation at Ogbolie Market,old anwai road, Clearing of Major Drainages in Oshimili South.
18) De-Infestation and Control of Pests in the Local Government to prevent the spread of Lassa Fever.
19) SPORT : Yearly Chairman's Cup Competition for our youths.
20) Conducting first ever free and fair Ogbeogonogo Market Election that produced the current market executive.
21) God crowned all these achievements with Bouncing Beautiful Twins.
