    SENATOR PETER NWAOBOSHI EMPOWERS PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED PERSONS



    Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, representing the Delta north senatorial district on Saturday, September 23, 2017, feted and gave #25,000 cash each to forty physically challenged persons drawn from the nine (9)  local government areas of his senatorial district.

    The occasion which was held at his Asaba residence was witnessed by Hon. Moses Dickson Iduh, the Delta north PDP chairman and a member of the board of trustees of the Obi Francis Nwaoboshi Foundation, Barr.  Akpowhowho, the former state PDP youth leader and Hon. Pascal Adigwe, former member House of representatives, campaign manager to senator Nwaoboshi and Senior Special Adviser to the governor on National Assembly/ inter-governmental matters and a host of other dignitaries.

    Welcoming the beneficiaries,  Hon. Iduh thanked  them for their support for the party in the last general elections which produced His Execellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and sen. Peter  Nwaoboshi as governor and senator respectively.

     Senator Nwaoboshi applauded them for their stead fastness toward the successes PDP had recorded in the past and enjoined them to build more force in unity for the party ahead of the coming general elections.
    In furtherance to his commitment toward giving a sense of belonging to the physically challenged persons, he promised to ensure that some of  them would be appointed into the executive arm of their various local government councils. He was however, emphatic that one of them shall be appointed in Oshimili north local council when a slot is given to him.  He said that he would be looking forward for a more time with them to chat better course for the group.

    Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, mr Monday Ojeme, the chairman of the group, outlined the modality for choosing the beneficiaries,  saying that four members ( one each representing the deaf, blind, cripple) of the group were picked from every local government area with their chapter leaders. Mr. Ojeme while expressed the group's untiring support for PDP due to Gov. Okowa and Barr.  Nwaoboshi's clear demonstration of love for them through series of empowerment for them.

    Mr Ojeme, while emphasizing their readiness to mobilize members to vote for PDP in the forthcoming local government elections, pleaded with Nwaoboshi and the leadership of the party to liaise with security agencies that would ensure they were given chance to cast their votes considering how challenging it had always been for members to queue for too long in order to exercise their voting right.

    He also used the occasion to appreciate Hon. Moses Dickson Iduh for his commitment toward the welfare of his members whom he said were grateful to his leadership and went further to plead with him to continue to defend the interest of the group.
