The financial empowerment program which kicked off with three( Ukwuani, Ika South and North East) out of the 9 local government area in Delta North had 8 persons from every ward going home with #50,000 each.
Welcoming the empowerment programme committee members, in their separate remarks, Chairmen of PDP in the three local government areas applauded the benefactor, Barr. Nwaoboshi for keeping to his words during his campaign period. According to them, the senator as an illustrious representative of Anioma people in the upper chambers, in addition to his outstanding performances as a law maker, has proven that the PDP has remained the only political party that does not renege on its promises.
Speaking on behalf of Barr. Nwoboshi and the empowerment committee, Delta North Senatorial District Chairman of PDP, Hon. Moses Iduh in his address said the committee was in the local government areas with news of promise fulfilment from their representative in Abuja whom he said was unavoidably absent due to some crucial engagement that cropped into his schedule impromptu.
Hon. Moses Iduh who used the opportunity to appreciate the people of Ukwani, Ika South and North East for their support for Nwoboshi in the last general election, said the PDP would deliver on every promise made to the people and assured them that more benefits would come to them from the party.
The highlight of the occasion was the presentation of the #50,000 cash sum to each of the beneficiaries.
In their appreciation, the recipients of the financial empowerment in their remarks, thanked Sen. Nwaoboshi for fulfilling his promises and also, the People's Democratic Party leaders for finding them worthy of the gesture.
