BETWEEN PERSECUTION AND PROSECUTION. ..... Sen Nwaoboshi/Anioma can't be distracted.

    EA UZUMNISM.

He who comes to equity must come with clean hands. The fight against corruption must have clear legal cum judicial  ingredients to project best practice if we are sincere on the war against corruption.

Below are some best practice modalities to track acceptable procedures.

The fight against corruption must not be selective.

It must be targeted to attain Judgement ie a conviction or clean bill of health against graft.

It must be devoid  of witch hunting .

It must be solution oriented which is to reduce corruption.

It cannot be a Facebook or media trial alone but court of competent jurisdiction.

The fight against corruption is sacrosanct to the survival of our Nation. I make bold to say that same fight must be collective and anchored on best practice.

In today's Nigeria I worry over the definition of Corruption, Prosecution of corruption and Persecution.

Today, corruption seems to be defined against those going against federal establishedment or those in the opposition.

I worry when files of 10 years or more  are resurrected, perceived political enemies hounded, thrown into kirirkiri, kuje prisons etc only to be bailed and that's the end subject to their conformity to existing retrogressive status quo.

It flaggerbast me to see people with obvious allegations walking free cos they moved from one party to the other ie from opposition to the ruling party. Ex Govs hanging on the fence or becoming part of the ruling party at night for fear of being persecuted or prosecuted.

What is happening to Orji Uzo Kalu's trial.... Are there no petitions against Obanikoro? What about the grass cutters in the IDP.. The millions of dollars found in an apartment laced around namelessness?? Does it mean all Politicians need do is to steal, loot and move to APC or remain quiet at the Senate.

Is Nigeria really fighting corruption.... I am sure you know better. Let's draw a line between persecution and prosecution.

     I stand for prosecution.
If Efcc has a petition as an anti graft agency, let it arrest, charge, prosecute and get Judgement from a competent jurisdiction.

But that because a person is PDP, SDP or the opposition  the Efcc moves in,  arrest because the person is not working online with what the executive expects, files are dusted or trumped up charges are laid, charges emerge, arrest carried out  bail  granted coercing the person to retract his criticism of Govt or dump his party..... That is persecution. It is not good for our democracy because we will head for a one party state.

Note that some of the charges are plausible because such crimes/graft and looting actually took place but let's say no to persecution or selective prosecution.

Narrowing down to Sen Nwaoboshi let's review when the alleged offense was committed.... Juxtapose with if he was to be in APC like Sen Abdullahi Adamu or if he is marooned and quiet like Sen Mumu Abimumu of Kano West Central.... Can someone just think....... Was he not cleared to run for the Senate.... Yes there may not be existing time-frame to prosecute criminal issues but morality cannot be totally eroded from human psyche.

Alot of politicians and private sector personnel have their hands stained  but it's only when Govt feels betrayed that their file is dusted why....... This is retrogression and persecution not fighting corruption.

Did a serving Senator lead thugs live on television to the hallowed Chambers, sack a sitting  Senate and elope with the Senate mace? How many arrests thus far.... .. An Abuja court even restrained the police from arresting Omo Agege.... .. Is it selective prosecution?

Watch out as this same file will be dusted some day when APC feels threatened. This is not good for our democracy.

Dino melaye is suffering for daring the establishment and today he is alleged a gun runner.
The above still does not justify corruption. However Aniomas must draw a thin line between prosecution of corruption and persecution of Senator Nwaoboshi because of his ideology.

Let's stop here if social media judges will allow us since the case is in court.
    SPON media.
