.......... As Olorogun Williams Makinde Canvass for Governor Okowa Relection.
The managing Director /CEO of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) Olorogun Williams Makinde , commissioned the sandfilling/ land reclamation project in Ijansa community, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria.
Olorogun Williams Makinde a similar vein also commissioned a concrete landing jetty, in Eniebogbene community also in Warri South West Local Government Area.
Joining the managing Director /CEO Olorogun Williams Makinde who represented the Delta state Governor Senator Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa in commissioning these projects were, Chief Favour Izoukumor the Commissioner Representing Ijaw Ethnic Nationality in the board of DESOPADEC, Mr Philip Gbasin Executive Director, Projects DESOPADEC, Chief Joel Ogbonna, SSA to the governor on political matters and Top Staff of the commission.
The Managing Director of DESOPADEC, Olorogun williams Makinde who commended the various communities for their cooperation, admonished them to utilize the projects very well. Olorogun Williams Makinde who lauded the sandfilling/ land reclamation job in Ijansa community, said this is the first time DESOPADEC has done such gigantic projects. He commended Governor Senator Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa ,in using DESOPADEC to ensure the SMART Agenda Spread to all oil and gas host Communities. Urging the people of Ijansa/ Eniebogbene communities, Olorogun williams Makinde asked them to replicate the uncommon gesture of the governor by voting him unequivocally come 2019.
Meanwhile, the Executive Director, Projects in DESOPADEC Mr Philip Gbasin lauded the various projects, in the communities, most especially the Ijansa project. He said: "We have not seen such a laudable projects since the inception of DESOPADEC as a commission, adding that the people should make prudent use of these projects."
The Honorable Commissioner representing Ijaw ethnic nationality, in the Board of DESOPADEC Chief Favour O. Izoukumor, in his remark commended, Olorogun Williams Makinde's visionary leadership, saying that, it is because of the Managing Director's uncanny cooperation that is why we have converged here today to commission these projects.
"You have shown the people that, DESOPADEC under your leadership will spread the dividends of democracy," Chief Izoukumor opined. Chief Izoukumor commended the governor, His Excellency Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, in appointing a career technocrat to lead DESOPADEC to where it is today.
The Honorable Commissioner while thanking the various communities for their swift cooperation, maintained that come 2019, they should replicate this commensurate gesture by voting Governor Okowa, to continue his enduring developmental legacies.
However, an opinion leader who spoke on behalf of the communities, commended the present DESOPADEC BOARD , saying that they are grateful, and indeed the 2019 governorship elections, they will vote Governor Okowa, to continue his good works, so that they can have more economic dividends.
