Chairman of Ndigbo cultural forum Asaba, Mr. Felix Bishop Illoanya, today led members of the forum on a courtesy visit to the Delta State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism-Barr. Ernest Ogwezzy, in his office in Asaba.
The visit was with regards the Ndigbo Cultural Day Celebration of 2016. According to the Chairman of the forum, the exact date for the event has not been fixed, but the tentative date is November 26th 2016.
The Hon. Commissioner was however informed that the Ndigbo Cultural Day Celebration for the year 2016 is forth coming and they will be glad to have him in their mist at occasion.
"BARR. Ogwezzy was further informed that the date presently agreed upon is November 26th which may possibly be changed as plans for the occasion are still on top gear. But if there is a change in the date, he will be promptly informed.
Responding, the Honorable Commissioner thanked them for their visit and assured them of government's participation during the occasion.
The Chairman was accompanied by Exco members of the forum which include among others; Mr. Chinedu Obodo, Vice Chairman, Mr Mayor Ikoroha, Treasurer among others.
