The South-West governors have agreed to work together in addressing the socio economic challenges confronting people of the Yoruba nation.
This was the outcome of a closed door meeting amongst south west governors as presented in a communique read by Ekiti State governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose at the Oyo State governor's office, Ibadan.
In the meeting which Mr. Fayose described as fruitful, the state governors agreed to work together regardless of their political differences for the benefit of the yoruba people.
Governor Fayose noted that areas of common cooperation identified in the course of the meeting include politics, unity of purpose, road construction, infrastructure, security and agriculture among others.
In his welcome address, host governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi stressed the importance of regional integration for the economic benefit of the Yoruba race. The next south west governors' economic forum is scheduled for Ekiti in February 2017.
