OBUSOM PLAYED HOST TO THE EXECUTIVE OF TERM SMART FOR OKOWA

ASABA - The Executive Chairman of Oshimili South local government council, Pst. Barr. Chuks Chux Obusom today received the Team SMART for Okowa group at his Asaba residence.

 It was a colourful and well attended event, graced by some political leaders of the local government, past party chairmen, the leader of the legislative arm of the Council, the councillors, party faithfuls, friends and well-wishers where all present to bear witness to this great occasion.

 The group was led by Mr. Orishede Sunny who is the DG, Team S.M.A.R.T for Okowa while expressing gratitude to Pst. Barr. Obusom for his support to the group, stated that despite the fact that he's one of the architects of the group, he was among the first set of people that we sent a message to when the group was formed, but others were waiting to get a confirmation from the Governor, but because you believe, you have not disappointed us, and this is why we are here not only to decorate you as a patron, but to also let you know that we are in your territory for a sensitization/interactive program on the activities and successes of Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa's SMART Agenda in the past 18months and to also inaugurate the Oshimili South chapter of Team SMART for Okowa.

We urge you to continue with the good works as record has it that you are the best performing local government chairman in the whole of Delta state. This is not by paid adverts but by evidence of what you have done so far with the little funds available. And for all what you have done for your people, there is an award awaiting you in the coming year, he said.

The chairman in his address, commended the leadership of the group for their effort in showcasing the good work of our amiable Governor, pledging his unalloyed support for the group at any level. He also suggested to them to create a Facebook page for a wider coverage, start up a newsletter, organise a TV monthly chat with the masses as a way of disseminating information on what the government of Sen. Okowa is doing.

Highlight of the occasion was the inauguration of the Oshimili South chapter of the group at the Hall of Celebration along Okpanam Rd, Asaba.
