    GOV. OKOWA TO RE-OPEN THE ISSELE UKU LEATHER FACTORY.


    Consequent upon the call by good citizens of Anioma and Delta state in general on the govt to keep aside all personal differences and re-open the closed multi million Naira Issele Uku factory commissioned by the Dr Uduaghan's administration,  Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has responded by re-opening the factory.

    According to a govt announcement issued by the Director of Information, Mr Paul Osahor, the Delta state govt is planning to train some willing Delta youths in footwear and leather products at the factory. Excerpts;

    ''It is hereby announced for the information of the general public particularly Deltans that in pursuit of the State Government’s desire to make the teeming unemployed youths in the State acquire skills for a meaningful living, the Delta State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (DEMSMA), has concluded arrangements to train interested youths from the State in foot wear and leather products.
    The training programme will hold at the Foot Wear and Leather facility Centre/Shoe factory, Issele-Uku.
    Accordingly, interested youths from Delta State are by this announcement advised to obtain application forms from the Delta State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (DEMSMA), Asaba on or before Thursday January 19, 2017.''
