Friday, 10th March 2017, will remain a memorable day in the lives of students of Obodeti Secondary Commercial School, Emu in Ndokwa West LGA of Delta state as the Special Assistant to the state governor on Special Duties, Chief. Mgbabego Azum donated a bole hole water system to the school after many years of existence of the school without good drinking water.
This was in a bid to put smiles on the faces of students as the school marked her 9th inter house sport athletic competition.
Speaking during the event, Chief Mgbabego admonished the students to become prosperity ambassadors by becoming responsible students, studying hard, staying away from bad influences, respecting their teachers and parents. He also appealed to the teachers of the school to be more patriotic in their duties and promised that he will draw the attention of the Governor to the school for greater developments.
The school principal on behalf of the school thanked Chief Mgbabego and prayed for the good Lord to bless him. He also extended the appreciation to Governor Okowa and used the opportunity to disclose to the SA about the poor state of the school's laboratory which lacked inadequate equipments and the aide to the governor known for his love for education pledged to support the school with the sum of N200,000 for the laboratory upgrade.
Also present at the occasion was the member representing Ndokwa west Constituency in the Delta state House of Assembly, Hon. Azuka Azaka who was ably represented by the PDP Chairman, Ndokwa west LGA, Chief Lucky Okwugi.
The event which was chaired by the Honourable Commissioner Bureau for Special Duties, Barr. Ernest Ogwezzy ended in a colourful style as "White House", owned by the SA, Chief Mgbabego claimed the first position, due to their outstanding displays.
